PRUNUS YEDOENSIS
Grower Notes:

The Yoshino Cherry, also known as the Japanese Flowering Cherry, Potomac Cherry or Tokyo Cherry, is an ornamental flowering cherry tree that has a broad-rounded, spreading, open crown habit. It has fragrant, pale pink to white flowers in clusters that appear before the foliage emerges.

The Yoshino Cherry is an incredibly popular hybrid and known for being the predominant cherries planted in Washington D.C. Flowers are followed by small, black cherries that the birds love-humans not so much. Foliage turns bronzy yellow in fall. Truly a spectacular flowering tree that captures everyone's attention in spring.
